Gen & Andrew, two lovely people tied the knot this weekend in style. The whole event was over two days…and what fun they had!

…we had heavy rain and thunder to start the day – but spirits were not dampened.

A Wonderful Wedding in Lewes | Seaholme Marquees

Seaholme Marquees worked alongside Carter Nendick to create the perfect wedding backdrop at The Shelleys Hotel in Lewes, April 2014.

The Shelleys is a delightful 16th century country house and wedding venue with elegant reception rooms and beautiful gardens, with breath-taking views of Lewes and the surrounding South Downs. Seaholme were eager to provide an equally beautiful marquee for the all-important Wedding Breakfast and speeches …

We were tasked with providing a 9m x 18m marquee with ivory roof and wall linings and windows down one side, with wooden flooring and carpet plus round tables and Limewash Chivari chairs. The gorgeous paper lanterns adorning the ceiling really gave the marquee it’s WOW factor – both by day and by night.

Sarah Nendick, in charge of wedding planning, provided the following feedback regarding our service:

“A huge thank you for all your help (and patience!) in the planning and execution of Bea and Chris’s wedding on Saturday. Everyone I have dealt with at Seaholme has been wonderful and I wouldn’t have any hesitation in recommending you to another client or fellow planners.

A particular thank you to Debbie for her mercy dash with the linen! Bea and Chris were blown away by how stunning the marquee looked.”

Seaholme Marquees would like to thank Carter Nendick and Be Light Photography for featuring in our Case Study.

A012_C030_0819LECelebrate your wedding in the “City of Brotherly Love” also known as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1682, Philadelphia is famous for many things including home to the liberty bell, Philly cheese steaks and Philadelphia Eagles football. The city offers many possibilities for wedding locations from gardens to historic. Read on to learn more about Philadelphia wedding venues.

Botanical Gardens

Exchange vows surrounded by fragrant blooms and lush greenery of a Philadelphia garden. Host your wedding at the oldest botanical garden in the country, Bartram’s Garden boasting incredible scenery and stunning views of the Philadelphia skyline. Located on the banks of the Schuylkill River, the well-kept gardens feature an extensive native and exotic plant collection, landmark stone house, orchards, meadows and a river

Historic Venues

Philadelphia presents couples a variety of historic venues suitable for a dream wedding and rich with history. Places to get married include stately mansions, historic buildings and old museums. Consider the Lemon Hill Mansion; built in 1799 on 43 acres. It is named after the numerous lemons grown on the surrounding land. The structure and grounds are a fine example of Federalist architecture evoking the lazy gentle life of the early nineteenth century.

Stylish and Modern

Couples seeking a contemporary venue for their nuptials will enjoy the many offerings from the City of Brotherly Love. Found on Arch Street, the Philadelphia Center for Architecture makes a great location for a modern-inspired wedding. The large facility features a sleek modern design, green energy practices and sustainable reclaimed interiors. Amenities include state-of-the-art technology systems, Wi-Fi, extra-large screen projector and all inclusive rental fees.

On the Water

Share a starry-eyed wedding along the spectacular water’s edge of the elegant Water Works Restaurant and Lounge located on the Schuykill River. Situated on Water Works Drive, the history of the Water Works Restaurant and Lounge is famed as a former engine room for the Philadelphia Water Department. What makes this a great wedding location are the breathtaking views of the river and boat rows, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine and close proximity to downtown Philadelphia. Features include outdoor cliff-side terraces, riverside veranda and romantic ambiance.

Unique

Say “I, do” at one of the most eclectic sites of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Magic Gardens. Located in the South Street neighborhood, the Philadelphia Magic Gardens features outdoor art in a highly creative environment. The venue is the mastermind of artist Isaiah Zagar and spans over half a block offering an awe-inspiring world of colorful mosaics, folk art and inventive sculptures.

Rustic Yellow Garden Party: Styled Wedding Inspiration – Want That …

Happy Friday my lovelies! The rustic yellow wedding inspiration gracing todays blog post is effortlessly gorgeous. Its sunny yellow disposition is a really uplifting wedding colour option and is definitely cheering up the blog [and making me smile]. If you’ve ever wondered how a summer themed, garden party wedding might look, I’m sure you’ll find enough rustic pretty ideas in this post and it shouldn’t be too long before you’re dreaming of your own sunny wedding soiree!

What I love about this shoot in particular, is the unique marquee setting with wooden tables and pretty rustic place settings. One of my all time favourite wedding styling ideas, pretty bottles are used as a very simple and effective yet incredibly pretty table centrepiece. Loving the zesty accompaniment of lemons and wild flowers… Oh, and wait until you see the wedding cake and stationery too! So creative.

Thanks to Erica from Mr & Mrs Unique for submitting this wedding pretty to the WTW blog. I will now pass you over so she can let you know all about the inspiration and wonderful wedding suppliers that made this styled shoot happen.

I run a wedding directory Mr & Mrs Unique that focuses on unique, eclectic and creative wedding suppliers. Throughout the year I try to get together with a selection of listed suppliers to create photo shoots, as it gives us the opportunity to experiment and spread our creative wings.

Rustic Yellow Garden Party: Styled Wedding Inspiration

A new venue called Lodge Farm BnB recently joined our directory and an opportunity arose to get Hertfordshire based Mr & Mrs Unique suppliers together for a photo shoot.

Lodge Farm has just started to take on more weddings and its location is stunning, set in the idyllic Hertfordshire countryside of Lilley Bottom, Kings Walden. The BnB sleeps up to 12 and the garden that would be used for the wedding party has endless views of fields with a gorgeous side garden, which can also be used for blessings.

I really didn’t want to use a bog standard white marquee so I contacted one of our marquee suppliers Funky Monkey Tents, as they have a wide range of beautiful hand made structures, tables and benches. They brought along their new stretch marquee (a favorite of mine,) that can be manipulated into different shapes.

Chloe from White Button Weddings was the lady behind the table styling, the lemonade stand, photo booth and kids corner. The table setting included lots of vintage glass bottles, lemons, checked linen and hessian.

The models for the shoot were recently married couple Becky, (a burlesque dancer called Aurora Blu) and her husband Edd. I was really keen to use a real couple in the shoot, as I wanted the photos to look believable.

I was thrilled to have Binky from Binky Nixon Photography on board for the photo shoot, as she is so good at what she does. She is really passionate about her job and captures special moments with a natural artistic style.

The stationery was provided by Style and Joy- I love their modern, fresh invitations and menu’s. The beautiful yellow bouquet, vase display and buttonhole was created by The Basement Florist which featured large poppy heads, daisies and sunflowers.

It was a really fun, relaxed day… shoots can sometimes be really stressful but spending a sunny day at Lodge Farm seemed more play than work!

Thank you so much Erica for sharing your gorgeous work with us, what a great team of wedding suppliers and I’m sure that WTW readers will be feeling super inspired to style their rustic chic days.

Love this shoot? Why not leave some lovin’ for the fabulous team.

Lots of Love

XxX Sonia

Kelsey and Tyler's Hennessey Wedding » Averi Blackmon …

Beautiful country wedding this past weekend in Hennessey, OK. Thank you for choosing me to photograph your wonderful, happy wedding day! Here are some highlights:

An African wedding (reception) | The View From Here

We are SO happy for our brother and friend Patrick and his pretty new bride Christabel. We have known Patrick and some of his siblings since we first arrived in Dakar. Patrick and Christabel got married in her home country (Ghana) a few weeks ago and came back to Senegal to celebrate with their friends, church and family (who flew in from Congo). It was a wonderful wedding reception, full of encouragement for the new couple, food, gifts, music, fun, and a slide show of their lovely wedding.

We had our tailor make us some clothes and they arrived just hours before the event. Yikes!!
