Weird Wonderful Wedding World Bespoke Bride

Oh my gosh we had such an amaze balls time on Saturday at the Weird & Wonderful Wedding World! Not only were we surrounded by some of our best friends in the industry but the room was filled with suppliers who we consider some of the best in the biz! The fair started at 3pm and was instantly buzzing with excited brides, the good thing about the fair starting so late was it created a really nice relaxed ‘evening atmosphere’, most brides had a drink in their hands and so did the exhibitors!

An abundance of pom poms, glitter and giant balloons were just some of the eye candy on show and don’t even get me started on how fantabulous everyone’s stands looked!!

Well, you can see for yourself…

Subscribe to our YouTube Channel here!

The fans and pin wheels on our stand were kindly given to us by the amazing Strange Case Collective, along with the geometric garland! Wasn’t we spoilt?! So tell me, were you at Weird & Wonderful World? What did you love the most?!

Much Bespoke Love

A few years ago, Kaleigh & Josh met at a friends wedding and after talking, they realized that they grew up in neighboring towns, went to adjacent schools and even shared a few friends in common but had never met until that very moment. Fate had taken it’s time bringing them together and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. The happy couple has been together ever since. On their wedding day, Kaleigh and her bridesmaids got ready at the Wythe Hotel before Josh arrived for their first look. The bride wore a custom designed wedding dress that was simply gorgeous. Her favorite detail was the back! Along with their families, Kaleigh and Josh stood under the floral chuppah at Congregation Beth Elohim and exchanged wedding vows before becoming husband and wife. Josh broke the glass and kissed his new bride! After the ceremony, guests were transported to the gorgeous Prospect Park Picnic House to celebrate and dance the night away. Their modern wedding was decorated and coordinated by SPINA who truly helped bring their classic and romantic vision to life. I’m so honored I was able to be there and capture their wonderful wedding day. Congratulations Kaleigh & Josh!

WEIRD WONDERFUL WEDDING WORLD! – Blogger

I’m really looking forward to tomorrow and exhibiting at the Weird Wonderful Wedding World at At-Bristol!

Last year, the fabulous Emily Fisher of Fishee Designs and I organised Bristol’s first alternative wedding fair.  I loved it and loved meeting all the alternative exhibitors and couples but I’ve always felt that you can spread yourself too thinly and Vintage is my first love, so this year, Emily is doing it all herself in her own inimitable, awesome style!  This is going to be one AMAZING fair!

Today, Emily, Joanna Shears of the truly stupendous Death & Glory and I spent the day plumping up paper poms from Pom Pom Studio and decorating the venue and I am SOOOO excited to meet all the amazing exhibitors Emily’s found.

If you’re looking for something just a bit different or something completely out of this world, then this is the fair for you.  It’s also a really fun day out with a bar and an opportunity to look round this unique venue.  The team at At-Bristol can’t be beaten – they really do go the extra mile – they’re fun, friendly and open to all sorts of ideas!

Watch Emily’s vimeo here for a taste of the day: http://vimeo.com/81552786

Why not come along and meet us all  - I promise it’ll be fun!

Keep Your Wedding Day Happy By Using These Tips To Prepare …

Both you and the people who care about you are excited and happy about your wedding. The tips featured below will help you to organize a wonderful wedding that you and all your guests will remember forever.

Wedding dresses are not cheap. To help defray the cost of a wedding gown, you may wish to shop for dresses that may not be considered a wedding dress. You might even consider whether a dress designed for bridesmaids could meet your needs. Even if you think you would like to change it in some way, it should be less expensive than if you bought a wedding dress.

The wedding pictures are amongst the most important wedding mementos. Choose the best photographer you can, even if it costs you extra. You want to be sure that your wedding will be remembered fondly.

The first thing you have to think about is the person you are marrying. Don’t rush into this decision. Give careful thought to that person, what you absolutely must have in your life, and what might irritate you.

If you are hoping to wear some special jewelry of your wedding day but only have a limited amount of money left in your budget, consider renting some diamond pieces. By renting jewelry instead of buying, you can get the look that you dreamed of for your wedding day without having to spend thousands of dollars.

When selecting a make up artist for your wedding, be sure to see the make up that they have done in the past. It would certainly ruin your day to have you and your bridesmaids looking like harsh in makeup that does not suit the colors or the styles you have chosen. You need to be sure you’re going to like the style. You don’t need to be around an hour before the wedding stuck with a makeup artist that did a poor job.

Prior to her wedding day, brides who have sensitive skin ought to have a skincare regimen that prevents acne, irritation, or break outs. Consider natural ingredients and treatments that will brighten your complexion.

Consider how many people will be dancing at your reception when you look at the dance floors of your possible reception venues. Forgetting this can end with a cramped reception, so don’t forget this important detail. You can always move chairs and tables to have more space for dancing.

Practice your walk in front of mirrors to feel comfortable on your wedding day. If you don’t wish to risk twisting your ankle, choose stylish flats instead. Reducing the risk of falling is better than going with the best-looking footwear.

Instead of an expensive wedding cake, get cupcakes or mini-tarts. These kinds of arrangements are versatile, affordable and convenient. Guests can choose a couple cupcakes when they leave and put them in the embellished takeout containers.

When making wedding dinner seating arrangements, be sure to have even numbers of people at each table. Tables should also be grouped based on their age. This will help increase the chances that guests will be able to talk and chat together.

Even if you’ve chosen and bought your wedding dress, think about keeping it at the shop until your special day. The likelihood of something happening to it is much higher than if you leave it at the bridal store! If the bridal shop takes care of it, you can be sure that it is going to be in perfect condition for your wedding.

If you can afford it, have the event on a ship and just invite your closest friends and family. Then your honeymoon and wedding are all rolled into one and the cruise ship does most of the planning and supplying everything. Some cruise companies even have special rates for those getting married and honeymooning on their ships.

Keep your guests happy while waiting for food by giving them a tray of sweets. Try sugar roses which subtly match your decor, or thin crackers that whet the appetite.

If the couple getting married has a strong love for travel, try to incorporate design elements that reflect this in the planning and decoration process. Invitations and save-the-date notices can be made to look like aged or vintage postcards and boarding passes. An interesting travel bag decorated with colored bows and ribbons can be set up as a decoration alongside the guestbook or pictures of the bride and groom.

Make sure that your wedding is planned down to the smallest of details so there will be no unexpected surprises. You want to draw everyone in, and make all of your guests remember this joyous occasion.

If you’re planning on having your reception outdoors, talk to your caterer about appropriate food choices for the event. Some dishes won’t fair well in heat, and others might just not weigh enough to stay place in firm wind. Using covers could make your caterer’s job much easier. Perhaps a small fridge could be used to keep drinks chilled.

If not planned well, a joyous wedding occasion can turn disastrous. Use what you’ve just read to make sure such a wedding disaster doesn’t happen to you.

Here be spoilers, and analysis that probably qualifies as obsessive, in a clinical sense. Well that didn’t take long. It was only a couple episodes ago that …

Matt & Kerry | Wedding Highlights | Alabama Photographer » Erin …

I am honored to have been able to capture Matt and Kerry’s beautiful wedding for them! It was truly a beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple :) Despite cold and windy weather, Matt and Kerry and their bridesmaids and groomsmen were amazing! They were such troopers despite being freeeeezing cold! You guys were awesome!!

Matt and Kerry’s reception was at one of my favorite reception venues, The Roundhouse Depot. It’s so unique and I love the lights all around. I always love working with Metropolitan DJ and they enhanced the space by adding uplighting, string lights, lanterns, and gorgeous lighting on the gorgeous cake made by another one of my favorites, Just Crumbs! After dinner, the dance floor was open — which is always a fun fun part of a wedding day! I love seeing all of the fabulous dance moves of the guests ;-) This wedding did not disappoint! It was obvious just how much fun Matt and Kerry’s guests were having! What a wonderful wedding to photograph!

Matt and Kerry, we loved being a part of your wedding day! Thank you for being so fun to work with! I hope you love your photos as much as I do! Here are just a few highlights from your day! Enjoy! :)

Kerry did a First Glimpse with her father and brother. It was wonderful!!

It was soooo windy! But I love a good windblown veil photo! :)

Exclusive: Sarah Darling's Wedding Diary – GAC News & Notes

Sarah Darling and James Muriel tied the knot in a secret spur-of-the-moment ceremony back in April 2013 — but they’re still planning a big Nashville wedding in May 2014 to celebrate with family and friends! Sarah’s sharing her personal wedding diary exclusively with Great American Country. She’ll take us along on the whole journey, from the dress to the flowers to the big day. Check back every other Wednesday for a new post from Sarah!

The Wedding Registry:
This your chance to create the dream wish list for your home and new life together. What could easily be considered one of the most fun parts of planning a wedding sometimes ends up becoming stressful and overwhelming. It’s also extremely hard in the moment to pick things you actually like as a couple! Imagine yourself in a busy department store thinking of what you’ve always dreamed of. I find myself asking, ‘Do I really need a cake pop machine?’ I don’t know about you but I get hot flashes in those situations, and immediately want to beeline to the nearest Starbucks!

That’s when online shopping comes in. In fact, James and I chose a lot of our registry online. To avoid ending up with dozens of serving dishes, mismatched plates and no flatware at all, really take the time to register things that you both will like — and will want — in your new place together.

There are also questions to ask yourself: What type of couple are you? Do you both like cooking? Entertaining? Are you adventure seekers? Do you enjoy wine, cocktails, or beer? All of the above, none of the above? How you answer these questions will determine what you should be registering for. When you get down to it, James and I are all of the above.

We both definitely love cooking. I think if we had our way, we would have every kitchen gadget imaginable. Before James moved to Nashville, we would do Skype cooking together! We also love to travel and enjoy nice bottles of vino. Now it’s getting fun! This is the perfect way to start your registering.

Another point to consider: where you’ll be living after the big day and how much storage space you have. Sure, you might want all the new Martha Stewart kitchen gear, but where on earth are you going to put them?

One night, James and I grabbed a bottle of wine and signed up online for our selected wedding registries. Who says you have to go in the store? You can drink a glass of wine and shop! I recommend not registering at too many places. Limit it to 3 or 4. Also make sure both of you have input during this process. I’m more of an Anthropologie type of girl while James loves Restoration Hardware.

James and I love supporting our friends, too. We have a friend, Reiko Kaneko, who creates beautiful Bone china in the UK. You also want to give price options. Don’t have high-priced gifts. I think Target is a fabulous place to register. And let’s not forget Macy’s! For great cooking items, check out Williams-Sonoma.

Another tip: If you and your love can’t decide on colors, the safe bet is always white. It may be boring but it’s classic. And most important, make sure you keep a list of people to thank for all of your wonderful gifts! Thank you so much for keeping up with the wedding blog. The big day is coming soon!
xoxo,
Sarah Darling

'19 Kids & Counting': Erin Bates & Chad Paine Wedding — Episode …

The Duggars have weddings on the brain! On the April 15 episode of ’19 Kids & Counting,’ the entire family heads to Tennessee for family friend, Erin Bates’ wedding. Jim Bob and Michelle are overcome with emotion watching Erin being given away by her father, and thinking how that special moment is in their not-so-distant future.

The Duggar Family packed up and headed to Tennessee on 19 Kids & Counting for family friend, Erin Bates wedding to Chad Paine. However, during the ceremony, Jim Bob and Michelle could only think about how their daughters could be getting married soon and leaving the nest. Which Duggar could be the next to get married? Keep reading to find out!

The Duggars Head To Tennessee

All 19 Duggars hit the road to help Erin Bates celebrate her wedding to Chad Paine. Normally Jessa, 21, is in charge of packing for the younger siblings, but due to her recent courtship to Ben Seewald, she has been preoccupied — sounds like a girl in love!

Michelle describes the difference between dating and courtship as, “Courtship is when you are seeing an individual and there is an attraction, but the goal is to find out if this is a person that you could marry.” Now, that fun chore has been passed down to younger sister, Jinger.

Take Our Poll

In preparation for the wedding, the Duggar girls came up with the idea to give Erin a gag gift, hoping to capitalize on the fact that the bride-to-be is not the best cook. The girls put together a basket full of fun items such as a miniature fire extinguisher and oven mitts. The gift was also very sweet though, as the girls put together a recipe book full of easy-to-make dishes along with great take out menus and gift cards. A wonderful idea!

Finally, it was time to get on the road. Jessa was joined on the bus by Ben and his mother who decided to take the 12 hour ride with the large family. Jim Bob decided to take this opportunity to get to know Ben better by asking him what kind of girl he is looking for, and what is important to him in a relationship.

Ben is honestly the sweetest, and he seems truly enthralled with Jessa. Ben told Jim Bob that he is looking for a girl that has a great and deep relationship with the Lord and who is obviously beautiful. Jim Bob and Ben both agreed that this description is exactly Jessa!

The Duggars Arrive In Time For Erin’s Wedding

Finally the 12 hour bus ride is over and the Duggars and Bates can catch up and finish preparing for the wedding. Erin was thrilled to see her best friends and could not wait to show off her beautiful wedding dress. Erin’s dress fit her perfectly and was very traditional with full sleeves and a conservative neckline.

Erin and husband-to-be Chad then took Jessa and Ben to see their new house. Chad is so sweet and you could really see how much he loves Erin. He loves her so much that he even let her paint their master bedroom baby pink!

Meanwhile back at the church, Michelle was helping Erin’s mother decorate and accidentally ripped off a large chunk of paint from the wall — whoops! Finally everything was set up and ready for Erin’s wedding the next day.

Erin And Chad Finally Say ‘I Do’

This wedding was full of emotions for Jim Bob and Michelle who couldn’t help but think about their own weddings that will be taking place in the not-so-distant future.

“We were thrilled when Josh married Anna, we were receiving a daughter-in-law. But when you give your daughter to a man, it just seems so different,” Michelle said. We don’t blame them for thinking about their own girls weddings, both Jess and Jill are in courtships.

Chad and Erin met three years ago through a ministry that they were involved in, on Valentines Day — talk about the perfect story to share with your kids one day!

On the morning of their wedding, the sweetest moment was when the bride and groom stood on opposite sides of a door so they could not see each other, but were still able to join hands and say a prayer together before being joined as husband and wife.

Chad and Erin saved their first kiss for their wedding ceremony, something that Jess and Ben have agreed to do as well.  The couple looked so happy to finally be able to embrace one another — it was so sweet. Another highlight to the ceremony was when Erin and Chad took time to thank their parents and to give them flowers. It was a really nice moment and such a great idea.

The gorgeous couple thanked everyone for coming, ate their cake, and then headed on their way — but not before embracing one more time in front of their cheering guests!

The wedding was stunning and everyone was so happy for the couple. We can’t wait to see another wedding soon — this time in the Duggar family. It doesn’t look like we will have to wait much longer, because as we previously reported, Jill and Derek Dillard are now engaged!

What do YOU think, HollyMoms? Did you think Erin and Chad’s wedding was gorgeous? Which Duggar girl do you think will get married first?
