English Country Wedding at Boconnoc House and Estate

Anyone that knows me knows one thing: I heart all things British.  So a drop-dead gorgeous English countryside wedding at the Boconnoc House And Estate?  Right up my alley.  Especially one as beautiful as this elegant day, with its colorful blooms, stylish attire (hello stunning Jenny Packham gown) and breathtaking gallery of images captured by Sarah Falugo.  See them all right here.

From Sarah Falugo… Boconnoc House and Estate is a quintessentially English wedding venue. The house dates back to 1250 AD and the grounds, complete with deer park and its own church is a hidden gem in the Cornish countryside. Emma and Terence were married in the church on the grounds and then stayed on site with friends and family to have a garden party and slap up meal in the height of the English summer.

Emma wore a stylish Jenny Packham wedding dress. The decorations were a mixture of colored glass bottles and beautiful English roses.

Mayan Riviera Destination Wedding – Style Me Pretty

I consider it a really good destination wedding if I find myself mindlessly reaching for my piña colada (which, unfortunately, isn’t there) as I flip through the gallery. This one is really good. Heart + Sparrow Photography captured the very essence of the day, and that essence is warm waters, white sand, and buckets full of sweet love.

From the photographer… Anya + Brody live in Calgary, Alberta, one of the coldest places in the country, so they decided to get away from it all and marry in the hot and sunny Mayan Riviera, Mexico. For the 30+ family and friends who were able to take the trip across the continent, it was well worth the trip. Their wedding took place at the the beautiful Azul Sensatori Resort on the Skydeck of the resort, overlooking the oh-so-blue Caribbean Sea.

Anya was inspired by the turquoise of the sea as well as the floral accents that the tropical location provided, and her idea of the perfect wedding was one that was whimsical, yet incorporated Mexican elements like “Dia de los Muertos” skulls into the decor and invitations. Most of all, the bride and groom wanted an environment where everyone felt comfortable and ready to enjoy themselves! With a morning of an and off downpour, Anya + Brody married atop the resort’s rooftop deck, and the skies opened up to the most beautiful deep blue for an unbelievable and moving ceremony.

The reception was to take place in the sand, underneath the palm trees that had been strung with twinkling lights – however, the weather took a turn for the worse and the event had to be moved indoors to a nearby restaurant on the resort. Regardless of the change in location, the bride and groom weathered the storm with smiles on their faces. After a few heartfelt and hilarious toasts, the guests enjoyed a traditional Mexican family style meal followed by tequila and dancing! Anya + Brody’s wedding was truly an event to remember!

Romantic Venice Wedding at Ca' Zanardi – Style Me Pretty

Looking for a reason to jet off to the wonderful little paradise known as Venice?  Well, here you go my friends: a drop-dead gorgeous + seriously elegant Italian wedding that is all about the pretty and all about the romance.  Think a blush-hued masterpiece planned by My Italian Wedding with ruffles and gold as far as the eye can see.  Check out every beautiful moment captured by Aljosa Videtic in the full gallery.

From the Bride… I had no idea Scott was going to propose when he did. I was supposed to be going out for girls’ night, or so I thought, but Scott had my friend in on his plan. I was completely surprised and couldnt have been happier. We talked about different options for the wedding and as soon as we talked about a Venice wedding, we both got super excited. This is because travelling has always been a big part of our relationship. Our first trip together was to Paris a couple months after we started dating so a wedding in Venice felt perfect. We were very lucky to have 24 of our family and friends fly from Los Angeles to Venice for the wedding festivities. The wedding was absolutely perfect and we wouldn’t have changed anything.

The color theme was all around gold, white, blush and pink tones… this was reflected in my dress choice, too.

Of all the dresses I tried on this dress was the most unique and when I tried it on I fell in love with it. It even fit me perfect. I only had to have it shortened a couple inches. I loved the color of the dress, the detail in the top portion and the design of the skirt. The most special part of the dress is the color. At first glance it looks champagne, but it pulls color from lighting around it. Sometimes it looks blush even.

From My Italian Wedding… Danielle and Scott contacted us last year because they wanted to get married in Venice. They are travellers from LA and they visited this city a few years ago. They completely felt in love with its beauty and so they decided to have an intimate destination wedding here. They wanted something “really Venetian” but at the same time not commercial (they did not wanted a hotel or a structured accomodation) which give them and their guests a true experience. So we found this decadent villa in Canareggio, one of the quietest and traditional districts in Venice, which was full of character and dusted furniture and mirrors… literally there was a room full of sofas and chairs that we took out from the dark and arranged in the main hall and in the terrace. The gold wallpapered room was completely empty, so was the terrace where the symbolic ceremony took place. We used a lot of pom poms in different size and shapes (ordered on UK and all hand carried around Venice in our little luggages!), cushions to decorate the old sofas and vintage table cloths for the reception tables. And lots of white, pink and blush flowers which gave a romantic touch to the decadent look of the villa.

Casual Elegance Wedding For Under 7K – The Wedding Chicks

cute idea to keep the first look a surprise

cute idea to keep the first look a surprise

Under 7 grand?! You bet your sweet patootie! This spunky bride DIY-ed her way into a gorgeous day that was filled with fabulous ideas and wonderful memories; the only thing it was lacking was whopping price tag! Mindy and Alex were able to transform her parents backyard into a charming wedding wonderland without the restrictions that a public venue would have. This gave them the freedom to set up whenever they liked, party as late as they wanted, as well as commemorate the day with one of the cutest ceremony ideas we have seen to date!

Intrigued? We hope so, keep reading to find a full list of all of their DIY projects and to see their full budget break down! And as always there is tons more to see of this casual elegance wedding for under 7k in the full gallery here. All beautifully captured by Rachel Solomon.

From the Bride:
Alex and I got engaged, and before we quite realized what we’d gotten ourselves into, began to plan a wedding for three months later! I had always hoped to have a casual wedding in the mountains among lots of trees. However, my handsome groom could not imagine the day without lots of family, friends, and a big celebration. So, to reflect the hearts of us both, we chose to have a big wedding with a casual feel.

We were married in Lakeside, Arizona in my parents’ backyard which gave us a lot of freedom with vendors, decorating, etc. My mom and step-dad were incredibly excited about the idea and helped out in more ways than imaginable. From her attention to detail and creativity to his carpentry skills and readiness to take on any project, the two of them created a stunningly beautiful wedding. It was so much more than I could have even dreamed!

wood burn sign idea to remember your wedding day

On the day of the wedding, clouds hung over the house threatening rain. I began to regret my final decision the night before to not rent a hall and became incredibly nervous. Our ceremony was at five and though cloudy it hadn’t even sprinkled in the morning. But, the raindrops came around 4:30! At 5pm as the rain lightly trickled down, my dad walked me down the aisle and delivered me to my love. As the drops became larger and intensified I only once remembered the fact that all my guests were getting wet! I said a silent prayer that it would let up (our reception was outside in the backyard as well). There didn’t seem to be a dry eye in the place as Alex and I shared the vows we had written ourselves and the whole ceremony was like something in a movie.

Much to my delight the rain completely stopped after the ceremony! We took pictures, ate the incredible meal my family and friends had prepared for us (smoked brisket and chicken), chatted with our guests and danced the night away. It was absolutely an amazing way to get married!

I think I would have made up some small generic thank you’s ahead of time for friends who helped out last minute (but whom I didn’t know would be there sooner).  There were a lot of people who pitched in to make our wedding simply amazing that I didn’t plan to help out (particularly because it rained and things needed to be put away and brought back out). I think I would have found a friend a head of time who is good at details, being efficient and naturally organized to be my designated “wedding planner” and ask her to do that for us as her wedding gift.  It would have helped out my family and I a lot just to have a go to person.

Read on to hear about all the DIY projects Mindy and her family did for her big day as well as get the full budget break down for this casual elegance wedding under 7K. Please note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to change. This is just one couple’s breakdown to give you a rough estimate on how much a wedding like this may cost you.

DIY Projects:
Florals (bouquets, boutonnieres)
Some friends and I made the boutonnieres with baby’s breath and white roses

Burlap utensil holders
My mom and grandmother made them mostly (my sister and I helped with the flowers on the top)

Wooden sign
My mom painted them and used old fence wood they tore down before the wedding

Wrapped bottles (LOVE)
Saw the idea on Pinterest and essentially mimicked it with supplies from Hobby Lobby and Michael’s

Guest book tree
We made up the idea because we wanted something different so we used a few dead branches from my parents’ lot and planted them. Then my grandmother, mom and I cut the hearts from scrapbook paper.

Save the dates, invitations (from where)
We made the invitations (did not have save the dates since we had such a short engagement) with brown Wal-mart paper, my mom’s printer, a hole punch, and some twine. Alex and I got the “tie the knot” idea from Pinterest and designed them around that.

Bride & bridesmaid robes
Mine was from Victoria’s Secret (not cheap! like $50) and my sisters’ were from Macy’s (surprisingly reasonable at $30)

All the signs were inspired by Pinterest and my mother and I. She mostly made them all.

Flower crown in your hair
I made it with some flower bunches from Michael’s by twisting them together.

Poms in the trees
We made these out of Wax Paper (thank God it wasn’t tissue since it rained), and there are a zillion posts on Pinterest about how to make them but we used the simplest (fold up like a fan, tie the middle with wire, trim the ends to make a point, then fan/fluff the layers). We experimented with the number of layers depending on the size.

Little tags on the napkins
We designed them. My mom, grandmother and I printed, cut and painted the edges.

Scrabble picture
I made it. Brother and sister helped me come up with the arrangement!

Chalkboard signs
Friends of the family loaned us the easels and a couple chalk-boards. They made them themselves!

Budget Breakdown:
We budgeted for $5,000 which is almost impossible for a wedding this size but we knew if we aimed small we would probably keep it lower than if we started with a realistic number.  We went over by about $2,000 which put us at approximately $7,000 for the total.  We also really saved money in every way we could…by using what my parents had (venue, wine bottles, old fence that we tore down for signs, dance floor that was later reused to build my parent’s shop they were in the process of building, etc).  We borrowed a lot of decorations from a friend who had recently gotten married but didn’t want to sell her stuff.  Also, our family made the food which we bought from Costco (we are blessed with amazing cooks)!  My mother, grandmother, and I made most of the decorations from craft store supplies.  We also did not have an official Videographer, DJ, Emcee or serving staff.

Daiquiri's And Flamenco In Beautiful Barcelona. – Rock My Wedding

Daiquiris And Flamenco In Beautiful Barcelona Daiquiris And Flamenco In Beautiful Barcelona.

If the title of this wedding hasn’t got your heart pumping already then honestly folks what the heck is wrong with you!

I promise you what you’re about to see is truly epic. This folks is how to do a super cool, super chic, city wedding.

Cheryl and Brooke married in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona at Santa Anna church and then whizzed off on Trixi bikes afterwards to their favourite champagne bar to celebrate. I’m told by David from Modern Vintage Weddings that they and their wedding party just rocked up in ten of these bikes and ordered 30 bottles of Champagne before heading to Hotel Mercer for dinner by Barcelona’s best chef.

How insanely rock and roll is that?

There are so many things I love about this wedding that I’d be here until Midnight listing them all for you but I will say that Cheryl’s headpiece is perhaps the most beautiful hair accessory I’ve seen this year and I absolutely most definitely need a gold lead embellished cake in my life.

Cheryl and Brooke…take it away!

Cheryl The Bride: Having our wedding in the beautiful Barcelona was a no-brainer for us – we fell in love with the city after our first Valentine’s getaway together seven ago and have visited many times since. We knew that the historical gothic architecture would make the perfect backdrop for our small, intimate ceremony and for our guests who had not had the pleasure of visiting the city before, we knew it would be a weekend they would remember.

My husband visited the city with his best man a few months before the wedding to scope out venues for the ceremony and reception. He did a wonderful job and he found one of the oldest Churches in the city, Santa Anna. With its tranquil cloister and interior steeped in history it was absolutely perfect. I later learned that we visited this very same church seven years earlier on our Valentine’s trip and we have photos of us together in the grounds! (He remembered!)

We held the reception in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter at the beautiful Mercer – designed by Spanish architect Raphael Moneo. The hotel incorporates part of the Roman walls of the ancient city of Barcino, some of which date back to the 1st century A.D. The hotelwas amazing and the staff were so helpful; nothing was too much trouble for them.

Most of the gothic quarter is pedestrianised so when we stepped out of Santa Anna as husband and wife, there was only one mode of transport that would do to take us and our thirty guests back to El Born – a fleet of Barcelona’s famous trixi bikes! It was a real show stopper and we felt like celebrities as we weaved in and out of the crowds on Plaça Nova, all cheering and waving as we rode past.

Our first stop on the way back from the church was La Vinya Del Señor, a delightful al fresco wine bar which sits cosily opposite Santa Maria Del Mar Cathedral. With its street performers and bustling atmosphere it really got the party started! After a good few bottles of local cava we made it back to the Mercer for canapés, wine and more Cava followed by a delicious three course meal. After we had finished eating and the speeches were over we took our guests to the lift which accessed the rooftop bar and pool area. We had arranged for an acoustic spanish guitarist to play Flamenco style music while the bartenders made sure that we had a constant supply of mojitos and strawberry daiquiri’s (our favourites) late into the night!

Looking back at the pictures of the day, we really do feel blessed. We not only had the most beautiful wedding but our photographers managed to effortlessly capture the essence of the day in those shots. We personally loved David‘s own creative photography and wanted him to have a lot of freedom with our wedding pics – we really clicked and just had 100% faith in him. My biggest worry for the wedding, before I’d booked anyone, was the photography – I am so fussy! You want those pictures to evoke the feelings you had at that moment and David and Mark have done that exceptionally.

Our first top tip for any couples thinking of getting married abroad is to find a photographer whose own personal projects you like if you cant make up your mind simply from looking through their wedding work – you have to remember a lot of couples impose their own set of do’s and don’ts on the day and so the work may not fully represent the photographer usual style or vision.

Our second tip is to get a local wedding planner. Even if you speak the language, the chances are you won’t have the local knowledge and connections which are so important, its definitely worth finding the extra money in your budget.

And lastly, relax. What will be will be. There’s no point getting stressed about things that you forgot to pack or the weather. Focus on your friends, family and the person standing opposite you at the altar.

Solid Advice So You Can Have A Beautiful Wedding | Prom Dress …

Your wedding day will be one of the happiest days of your life, for both you and the people you love. The tips featured below will help you to organize a wonderful wedding that you and all your guests will remember forever.

Keep in mind that religion plays a central role in not just your wedding, but your future marriage. Talk with your partner and their family about their religion and traditions.

The right wedding dress can be quite expensive. Consider looking into dresses that are not designated as wedding dresses. You could try a bridesmaid dress, and it would be cheaper than an actual wedding dress. Even if you need the dress to be altered, it will probably be less expensive than buying a wedding dress.

You can save a lot of money by purchasing your wedding gown online. However, remember to give yourself plenty of time for alterations. You can purchase wedding gowns for as low as 0 online, but sometimes the alterations may cost you double that amount. Be sure to add the additional cost of alterations in your budget.

To make your wedding more personal, include a theme that encompasses you, your future spouse, and the things that are most important to your relationship. A theme should be selected that matches the time that you’ve had together.

One way to add glamour to your look on wedding day is to research the possibility of renting diamonds to add to your ensemble. This helps you turn heads during the ceremony without turning your bank balance into a bunch of zeroes.

You should put a great deal of thought into writing your wedding vows. The institution of marriage is lifelong and marked by willingness to enter into a major commitment. Of course, the most important thing for vows to convey is your love for your partner.

You don’t need a big, expensive, flashy wedding cake. Talk to your local bakery owner about something smaller, or pre-cut into individual portions. Some bakeries will even ship fresh cupcakes with fewer than 100 calories per serving as well as healthy options like gluten-free ingredients, fruit-filling instead of frosting, no-calorie sweeteners, or even tart meringue toppings.

Don’t use an overabundance of flowers as table centerpieces for your reception. The majority of the time, these flowers are in the guests’ way. Furthermore, one or two of your guests could be allergic to certain flowers. Think about putting non-scented candles out to create a romantic atmosphere.

Instead of traditional floral bouquets, brides can adorn their bouquet with diamonds, rhinestones or other gems. You can achieve this look by using heat-fixed or adhesive crystals or small pieces of costume jewelry. Consistency is important in regards to stone sizes, cuts and the colors that sparkle, as all this needs to coordinate with your overall ensemble.

A nice present to give to your wedding guests at a wedding in a different town is a gift basket full of vacation items that you can have sent to their room. This gift basket can include helpful items such as sunscreen, sunglasses, disposable cameras and tourist maps that add a nice touch of flavor to the vacation. Another nice gesture is to include a restaurant guide, since people do need to eat after all.

Post a schedule of events on your wedding website or send an itinerary with your wedding invitations. This helps out-of-town guests make appropriate travel plans, especially guests who are going to participate in your wedding rehearsal or other events. Let the guests know what they need to come to, so they can get there when you want them there.

A joyous occasion like a wedding can easily turn into a disaster zone, if you improperly plan it. Pay close attention to the following suggestions to make sure your wedding meets all of your expectations.
