Lake Chelan Wedding by Urban Rose Photo | Apple Brides

The best weddings are centered on a great couple, and Sarah and Euclides are an amazing couple. Their story is moving, their love is strong and they have an amazing support system, which made for a truly beautiful wedding (inside and out!). The big day took place at a private residence in Lake Chelan and the lovely Rose from Urban Rose Photo was there to capture it. Rose did a fantastic job of showcasing the beauty of this couple and their wedding day.

Here is more from Rose about this adorable couple:

“This wedding seriously melts my heart. I found myself tearing up many times during their ceremony and reception and completely honored to be a part of this special day. Sarah and Euclides are such wonderful, giving, and joyful people. Not only is their love story out of a fairy tale, these cross global lovers are true soul mates if there ever were such a thing. It is the way he smiles at her, the way he melts at her touch, the way they laugh together, the sweet way she whispered the english part of their ceremony to him in spanish, not wanting him to miss any moment before the translation, the way he left his whole family in Paraguay so they could be together in America, and the way her family completely and whole heartedly has made him one of their own. It literally poured rain all day at Lake Chelan, except for a few glorious moments, but Sarah never once was worried, she just said. “If I am married at the end of this day I am happy!” She walked down the isle in the rain with no umbrella and everything turned out perfectly. Enjoy a peek into their special and perfect wedding day at the lake.”

Brooklyn Blonde: The Special Moments {Our Wedding}

When Keith and I first started planning our wedding, we knew a few things:

1) We wanted something nontraditional.
2) We wanted it to be in some part of NYC, preferably Brooklyn.
3) But most importantly, we wanted one big party and a celebratory night with our closest friends and family.

I love that these (mostly) candid shots really reflect the unforgettable night we had! I feel so unbelievably lucky to be surrounded by such incredible people, because really, that’s what life is truly about.

For those of you planning a wedding, a few tips:

1) I’m sure you’ve heard it once and you’ll hear it a billion more times, but the night FLIES by. One week before our wedding I decided that a videographer was necessary. At first I was like “nah, we don’t need to spend the extra money…” BUT, I’m so happy we got one. You spend so much time, energy and money on the night that the additional cost is so worth being able to see the night again, especially from different perspectives.

2) Take your new husband or wife and escape for a few moments. This night is about you two, but it’s easy to get wrapped up in the craziness of it all. Take just 5 minutes to reflect and really soak in this special new chapter in your life.

3) Do what’s right for you two! You’ll probably get a lot of ideas, suggestions and thoughts thrown your way. A lot of them are very helpful, some… not so much. At the end of the day, do what works for both of you! That’s what matters.

4) Thank goodness for Pinterest! It was a lifesaver in helping me plan, organize and get inspired during the entire wedding planning process.

5) Relax, breathe and try not to be a Bridezilla, because really, it’s not a good look for anyone. ;)

Lastly, let me know if you guys have any questions. I’ll be happy to answer in the comment section below!

10 Wonderful Ombre Wedding Cakes | Lea Ann Belter Blog

The beautiful, watercolor gradation of ombré lends just about every wedding day element it’s applied to a romantic, one-of-a-kind air. Plus, whether you stay within one hue’s spectrum or go with complementary shades, ombré’s nuanced approach to color offers a great chance to get creative, especially when it comes to wedding cakes. Something about that progressively tinted wash of color transforms mere fondant or buttercream into art.

Rachel & Nick's black, red, and beach-all-over music-loving wedding

The Offbeat Bride: Rachel, chef (and Tribesmaid)

Her offbeat partner: Nick, Registered Piano Technician

Date and location of wedding: Hotel Laguna, Laguna Beach, CA — October 5, 2013

Our offbeat wedding at a glance: Music is a very big part of our lives. We met while working at a live music venue in Los Angeles, so it was very important to us to have good music everywhere. From using a Leon Russell song as our vows, to hiring our friend’s seven-piece soul revue band, music was everywhere in our day.

The wedding party walked down the aisle to the theme from Carrie and the theme from Cannibal Holocaust, so I also got our love for horror movies in there. My processional music was the Simpson’s title theme, and we walked out of the ceremony to Roxy Music’s “Out Of The Blue.” Our first dance was to the Beach Boys’ “Forever.” I danced with my dad to Willie Nelson and Julio Iglesias’ “As Time Goes By.” And Nick and his mom danced to Otis Redding’s “That’s How Strong My Love Is.” A little bit of everything for everyone in our selections made it fun.

We didn’t have a wedding cake, but rather, had wedding churros. I was also barefoot all day and night, which was awesome.

Tell us about the ceremony:
While planning the wedding, the one thing that eluded me was the ceremony. While Nick wasn’t too involved with wedding planning, he did write the ceremony. I gave him a few quotes I liked and he turned it into a real ceremony. We used the quote from Shall We Dance as our marriage address:

We picked Leon Russell’s “A Song For You” lyrics as our vows. Instead of promising each other anything, we just wanted to say a few nice words.

RACHEL: I give you this ring as a reminder that:
I’ve been so many places in my life and time
I’ve acted out my love in stages but
There is no one more important to me
I love you in a place where there’s no space or time
I love you for my life, ’cause you’re a friend of mine
And when my life is over, remember when we were together

NICK: I give you this ring as a reminder that:
I know your image of me is what I hope to be
I hope you see
There’s no one more important to me
I love you in a place where there’s no space or time
I love you for my life, ’cause you’re a friend of mine
And when my life is over, remember when we were together

Our officiant was hilarious, which helped calm our nerves. She is stand up comic Erin Foley, and has known Nick since he was six. At the end, she pronounced us “totally married.” If you can get a friend to officiate, I cannot recommend it enough. She was great, and it felt personal, like hanging out with friends.

Our biggest challenge:
Long distance planning was hard. We live in Boston, but we met while living in LA, so most of our friends and family live in Southern CA. My grandmother in San Diego wouldn’t be able to fly across the country, so it was a no-brainer to get married in California. That meant I wanted an awesome beach wedding. So right after we got engaged, we flew out to venue hunt. That was the toughest two weeks of the entire thing. We burned up a lot of miles trying to decide on where we could get married on the beach.

Then when it was wedding time, we had one week to actually get everything together out in LA: shipping what we could online, racing to buy any flowers we could find (thankfully, white calla lilies!), and trekking LA county collecting Dollar Tree vases. We got it all done and it was very hectic, but the week of planning and running around meant it only took 30 minutes to set things up day of.

My favorite moment:
We didn’t know if my brother was going to be able to attend because his wife was at the end of an incredibly difficult pregnancy and she could have had the baby any day. He made it, and I was incredibly grateful that he took the time for that. And really, just getting to spend the day with people we’ve been separated from by 3000 miles for the past few years was amazing.

My funniest moment:
Oh, the dancing — all the dancing. Originally we didn’t want kids at the wedding. Then we decided we wanted our nieces and nephews in the wedding party. Then we realized a few cousins wouldn’t be able to attend if we didn’t allow kids. Then we realized that left only two other guests whose kids would be banned. So we let them all come. And they danced like nobody else. Also, it is my mom’s family’s tradition to dance together to the Rolling Stones, which always makes for some great laughs.

Saratoga Wedding at Villa Montalvo – Style Me Pretty

We’ve got a two parter of pretty coming your way, and it’s all sitting in this oh-so-gorgeous post. This sweet as they come couple sent over their engagement session AND their wedding captured by Christina McNeill, and well, we fell in love with both. So be sure to soak up more of their e-sesh here, and just wait until you see their wedding waiting for you below…

See? How could you not fall in love with these two? Your love affair is about to go off the charts, because with one look at their stunning Villa Montalvo wedding (once again beautifully captured by Christina McNeill) you’ll know precisely why we just can’t get enough. Join us in here for more.

From the Bride…Our best man Josh Rose introduced us in 2010. I went to HS with Josh and Nick has known Josh since he was 9. From the beginning we knew that family and fun were the most important components of our wedding. We both live in San Francisco, but chose to have our wedding at Villa Montalvo near my hometown of Los Gatos. We knew we wanted a vintage theme and I suggested a Great Gatsby vibe. We chose black, gold and white since they are such classic colors and added feathers to go with the 1920′s décor.

My favorite moment of our wedding was when the last song came on. It was “Last Night on Earth” by Green Day and its one of our favorites. I saw Nick clawing through the crowd trying to find me for a last spin and he yelled out “where’s my wife??” It was the first time I had heard him use the phrase and I had to smile. All of the guests came together for the song and it was such a wonderful feeling having so much support for us on that special day.

If I could offer any advice, I’d say: sit back and really enjoy all that you worked so hard for. All those months of planning and running around like a crazy person really does pay off. I had a few moments were I almost went nuts but luckily I was surrounded by a few recent brides and they kept me grounded. I reminded myself that this day was about us. It wasn’t the décor, music or food and that thought made all stress sort of melt away.

Elegant South Melbourne Wedding Ruffled

Going through the images and film from today’s wedding (sent over by the fantastic Stewart Leishman), I haven’t seen a single frame where the groom isn’t grinning from ear to ear. But I’m sure that’s to be expected when you have a couple who’s as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside! Let’s dive right into this one – you won’t be able to stop staring at the bride’s wedding gown, which was made by the groom’s very own sister.

From the bride, Giuliana: We had a wonderful wedding day and enjoyed every moment. It was a really nice feeling watching it all come together and witnessing how happy all our guests were. It was also a privilege to share our special day with 190 of our closest family and friends. More than half of our guests traveled from interstate to be with us and for that we will be eternally grateful.

From the photographer, Stewart: Robert and Giuliana met 6.5 years ago on NYE. Giuliana was in Melbourne on a holiday with a group of girlfriends and met Rob at a NYE party. There was an instant spark as she entered the venue and their eyes met. She took the lead and said “you look like my friend Alex”, to which Rob responded “who’s Alex?” That pickup line was a sure conversation starter and they talked and talked until the sun came up! Four months later after hours and hours of phone time, and only two interstate visits, Giuliana took a leap of faith and moved from Adelaide to Melbourne to live with Rob, and here they are today!
