Michael Jordan's Wedding to Yvette Prieto Cost About $10 Million …

Money was no object for Michael Jordan‘s second wedding. The NBA legend tied the knot with Yvette Prieto in a star-studded, extravagant ceremony in Palm Beach, Fla. on Saturday, Apr. 27.

Jordan, 50, and the Cuban-American model, 34, said “I do” at Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea and then headed to a lavish reception, coordinated by star wedding planner Sharon Sacks, in a large tent at Bear’s Club in Jupiter, Fla. A source tells Us Weekly that the couple’s wedding cost an estimated $10 million.

According to the insider, Woods’ girlfriend Lindsey Vonn was invited to attend, but she was busy training in Colorado. Usher, Robin Thicke and K’Jon also were there to give special performances during the night.

An insider exclusively tells Us that newlyweds shared their first dance to K’Jon’s “One the Ocean.” The bride wore a stunning French silk J’Aton Couture gown with Swarovski crystals.

Chesapeake Bay Wedding from tPoz Photography + Jewel Hair …

I love that this couple did not go the traditional autumn wedding way, but instead, showcased the beauty of the fall colors with a complimentary lavender. Capital LOVE. They dressed up the already fab Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in a way that totally surprised me, but absolutely moved me to clasped, giddy hands under my chin. Photographed by tPoz Photography (with our LBBer Natalie Franke on the second lens), the whole soiree, from Jewel Hair Design‘s masterpiece to the purple rain boots, was amazing. From the lovely bride … While I am an attorney by trade, event planning and design have always been beloved hobbies of mine and our wedding presented a wonderful opportunity to plan my biggest party yet! Before Robert proposed, I didn’t have any visions of what this day would look like – except, I did know, and Robert readily agreed, that it must be a fall wedding. This season is our favorite and so we planned our day around what we think is both characteristic of the fall and a wedding – a festive spirit, fun with family and friends and warm, hearty food and drinks. As I am from Indiana/Pennsylvania and Robert is from North Carolina/Maryland (with family in Poland as well), we wanted a location nearby our now-home of Baltimore that would be a fun destination for our friends and family traveling from afar but a bit off the beaten path from the hustle of the city. We choose Annapolis, Maryland because we’ve also enjoyed its beautiful waterfront views, its rich history and its very welcoming community.

We were fortunate to find perfect venues to host our wedding – the sanctuary at St. Mary’s Catholic Church reminds me of where my grandparents were married and the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club features stunning views of the Bay. Wanting to showcase the warmth of fall but not with typical fall colors, we selected a palate of dusty lavender, ivory and gold. From there I went a bit crazy with coordinating purple items – from the invitations by Laura Nehls, the flowers by Crimson & Clover and the bridesmaids’ beautiful Monique Lhuillier dresses (I loved them so much I bought one as well!) to the table linens. I am so grateful for local blogs and Pinterest because they helped me discover the wonderful work of local and Etsy artists who helped bring our wedding day to life – from our amazing photographers Teri and Natalie to the beautiful design work of Laura Hooper (calligraphy) and Sara Metzger (seating chalkboard). I was also beyond spoiled to be able to work with Anna Maier/Ulla Maija head designer Charles Bunstine II to create a custom french alencon lace gown with covered buttons and removable lace straps at his NYC studio.

Robert was incredibly patient throughout the year that we planned the wedding as I asked his opinion on countless design ideas and put him to work stuffing guest hotel bags and tying bows on rosemary and lavender bundles for the tables. He also had his great own ideas for our attire, the cake and even the linens that made our final selections a really good reflection of our marriage – a collaboration. Much credit should be given to him and our friends (especially my wonderful bridesmaids who shared many, many hours of their time) and family for helping us along the way and as a result our wedding weekend couldn’t have been more perfect! The sunshine came out in full blast and we loved introducing our guests to the town. We had a lot of fun at the bookend events of the weekend – the rehearsal dinner and a morning-after breakfast (my mom’s brilliant idea so that we could see our guests one last time in a bit more relaxed atmosphere) – but our favorite moment of the weekend was the marriage ceremony as it seemed like in the midst of all the chaos, everything became still and we felt so present during the exchange of our vows. While we certainly have lots of advice to share with engaged couples (and many wonderful vendors to suggest too!), if we just had to share one thing it would be to plan a wedding ceremony that lets you breathe for more than just a minute and really appreciate the amazing journey you’re about to embark on with your new spouse.

365 – 364 – Cheers!

365 - 364 - Cheers!

At Tess and Doug’s wedding, they were serving some signature cocktails – including mint juleps. Yes, please!

Julep cups are gorgeous! The wedding was gorgeous! Tess was gorgeous! Everything was just lovely. And it was so fun to be at a wedding on our anniversary eve. We remembered how we were feeling one year ago, and we smiled sweetly at each other. And then we tore it up on the dance floor – Tess and Doug had the same band we had! So awesome!

Shot this with my point-and-shoot. Loved how I could still get a nice bokeh and depth of field going though!

South Beach Wedding from JCG Events | Style Me Pretty

South Beach is probably the most perfect spot on the planet for a chic, warm-weather fête and this one boasts a whole cocktail hour full of fresh mojitos to boot. Sign us up! With a group of talented wedding warriors including Ines Naftali Floral and Event Design behind the florals + decor and JCG Events working their magic on the planning and coordination side, this wedding was crafted into a modern poolside affair dripping in glamor. See all the images captured by 13:13 Photography right here in the full gallery as well as a film by Fandango Studio below.

From JCG EventsLiz and Chris wed on November 17th surrounded by their family and friends at the iconic art deco National Hotel in Miami Beach. This was a destination wedding for all of their guests, so the couple wanted to make sure to create an entire weekend long experience for them that reflected the couple and their love. We accomplished just that!

The first step in creating this overall experience for guests came with the design of the invitation. The wedding invitation is the first impression made upon guests. Liz and Chris took care to make sure that everything stayed true to them and their keen eye for design. Given their love for graphic design we offered them the flexibility of designing their own invitations through the invitation line we offer, Smock Letterpress. This fresh design was then carried throughout the rest of their wedding weekend and was highlighted throughout all of the signage, programs, menus and accents for the wedding. They also created a custom “QR” code for their wedding, where guests were able to download a free app and then upload their personal photos throughout the weekend to share with one another. Afterwards guests were able to download all the photos from the wedding weekend. This just added to the overall experience and connectivity among their guests.

Everything about their wedding was thoughtfully planned and designed. In staying true to the idea of togetherness, we designed the ceremony space so that guests instead of being in the “traditional” theater style seating we had the chairs set-up facing the couple and the aisle. At the ceremony the experience started when guests entered the ceremony area and were greeted with a limeade station at one of the iconic black and white striped cabanas of the National Hotel. They then were welcomed to take a wedding program that also served as a fan and had fun puzzles and brain teasers about the couple on them. They were invited to solve these puzzles during the ceremony prelude. Solving puzzles are one of the couples’ favorite pastimes and it was a fun way to have guests partake in something that they love.

After the ceremony, guests were invited to a lavish cocktail hour where they were welcomed with fresh mojitos. These were garnished with striped straws and adorable custom tags matching the designs the couple created. During the cocktail hour, guests were invited to write advice to the couple with a set of prompted questions. Following the cocktail hour guests were invited back to the reception where we transformed the space from what once was the ceremony area. Liz and her Mom share a passion and love for orchids and they were in wonderful hands with Ines Naftali of Ines Naftali Floral and Event Design who shares the same passion. The tables were dressed in “white crush” linens with acrylic chiavari chairs to give it the modern take. The centerpieces were white phaelenopsis orchids, with air plants and succulents surrounding them. There is true beauty, and something symbolic, in seeing a centerpiece that has life and guests can cherish as well as they were able to take them home after the wedding. The centerpieces were surrounded by mini steel lanterns, which also helped keep the votives lit, given the wedding was close to the ocean breeze.

Guests danced the night away on the beautiful black and white checkered dance floor and under the café stringed lights. Towards the end of the evening we opened up a Smore’s station, which was a huge hit with all of the guests. As favors guests received guava “pastelitos” which is a delicious treat from the famed Cuban restaurant Café Versailles, a true Miami staple. This was the perfect conclusion to a truly wonderful wedding experience for all of the guests, and especially the newlyweds.

Libby + Adam: Married | South Central PA Wedding Photographer

Sometimes, when we’re really lucky, we’ll photograph a couple that makes us feel more like guests with REALLY fancy cameras instead of vendors.  Yes, we did know Libby and Adam prior to their wedding day, but their entire family and friend base made us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  Everyone at this wedding LOVES to have a good time and it’s those weddings that true, raw emotion show through in the photos.

They were married on September 1, 2012 on Adam’s parent’s beautiful property.  Even though the wedding was stunning and there were a lot of wonderful details, the laid back vibe of their personalities permeated through to their wedding day.

Libby and Adam, thank you for making us feel like we didn’t work for one second of a 10 hour wedding day :)

The Bombshell Salon did a wonderful job on Libby’s hair and makeup.
