Bride learns she has brain tumor {Harwelden Mansion Wedding}

Annalisa and Darren were planning a beautiful Spring wedding, when they got some news that changed everything. Annalisa had a brain tumor and would need surgery soon. So with the help of family and friends, they pulled together a simple but wonderful wedding in ten days. Ten days!!! There were touches of love everywhere, from the handmade streamers for their sendoff and the table runners sewn by Darren’s mom, to the potluck meal provided by their guests. Rather than continue typing, I’ll let Annalisa and Darren tell you their story themselves. But we do want to add that Annalisa goes in for brain surgery on March 13, and I’m sure your prayers would mean the world to them. Bealeton, Virginia Wedding from Elisa B Photography | Style Me Pretty

We have some insanely chic how-did-they-pull-that-off weddings coming your way, but before we dive into all the prettiness, we bring you this bit of fresh air. This Virgina vineyard wedding captured by Elisa B Photography has rows of grapevines, a simple white-washed steeple, and a Bride rocking the most gorgeous curls. Now add to that Katie Martin of Elegance and Simplicity‘s details and the result is all kinds of right, and the full gallery? A definite must.

From the Bride… Our wedding took place on September 22 at Morais Vineyards in Bealeton, VA. We had a good friend marry us in a non-traditional outdoor ceremony where we wrote letters to one another and placed them in a wine box with a bottle of wine. We plan to open the bottle of wine and read the letters on our five year anniversary. 210 people came from far and wide to the vineyard, which is home to peacocks, horses, dogs, cows, goats, and chickens. Our mothers gave readings by Mark Twain and John Steinbeck, two of the bride’s favorite authors. The weather that day mimicked that of a California winery, so we truly were blessed with the true vineyard experience!

From Elisa B Photography… Christina and Michael’s wedding day was a sun-kissed Virginia Winery dream. Their wedding day color pallet was a mix of soft pastels – pale pink, soft cream, muted greens, and metallic silver. The groomsmen were dressed in light grey, which set off the soft colors beautifully. Their feeling of their day was full of a relaxed, simple elegance. Their wedding day was as light-hearted as the weather. The ceremony was full of laughter! Christina and Michael were relaxed and giddy at the same time. When the nails for their wedding wine box were forgotten they laughed together with their guests. Katie Martin, of Elegance and Simplicity Events, created beautiful details and floral design for their wedding day and we were so grateful for her guidance for the wedding party and guests throughout the day.

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Borrows Elephant Family For Their …

Hollywood stars are pretty much always trying to break each other when it comes to having the biggest and most wonderful weddings. Now Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have come up with an idea to make their wedding even more memorable – by buying an elephant family! The couple are working on making the two-mile long drive to their house amazing, and their wedding florist has revealed one and two things on what the guests will see.

“Guests will travel past water fountains and Shetland ponies leaoping as they go up the two-mile long drive to the house.”, she said. “When the guests park, they’ll see a family of elephants. Brad hopes it will make them smile”, she continued. Err? Isn’t that just strange?! (contactmusic)

wedding session | jacqueline + herman » Tony Ng Photographer …

it was a wonderful wedding full of love and care. This was a modern-day romance that culminated in a celebration in Hong Kong for jacqueline and herman. Although I didn’t get a chance to meet with jacqueline and herman before the wedding, my fear of them not being comfortable with me was put aside almost as immediately as when I reached the hotel in the early morning. Both jacqueline and herman are so affable who made sure that I was well taken care of, and had everything I needed to do my work. I am so thankful that they trusted me to perform my “magic”. The thing they probably didn’t realize is that the magic was already there – in them.

jacqueline and herman had their first dance in the reception. I captured the moment when herman kissed his bride when he started to dance with this stunning lady. lovely~
